Kiara Advani’s Biography
Alia Advani (born July 31, 1991) also known as Kiara Advani, is an Indian actress who primarily appears in Bollywood and Telugu-language productions. Kiara’s name was suggested to him by the very famous actor Salman Khan. In the sports biopic M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, she played MS Dhoni’s wife role Sakshi after making her acting debut in the comedy film Fugly (2014). For the Netflix anthology film Lust Stories (2018) and the political thriller Bharat Ane Nenu, she received appreciation for her performances as a sexually dissatisfied wife (2018). Kiara Advani received more attention for her roles in the comedy movie Good News and the romantic drama movie Kabir Singh, two of the highest-grossing Bollywood movies of 2019. Her roles in the movies like Shershaah (2021), Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022), and Jug jug Jeeyo (2022) extended this success (2022).

Kiara Advani was born to Genevieve Jaffrey who was a teacher and Jagdeep Advani who was a Sindhi Hindu businessman. Kiara Advani also had a Bengali godmother. She was originally born Alia Advani, but before the 2014 release of her debut movie, Fugly, she changed her first name to Kiara. Her decision to use that name was motivated by Priyanka Chopra’s portrayal of Kiara in the movie Anjaana Anjaani (2010). She claims that Salman Khan suggested she change her name because Alia Bhatt was already a well-known actress.
By way of her maternal family, Kiara Advani is related to several famous people. Her aunt is the model Shaheen Jaffrey, and her step-great-grandfather and great-uncle are the actors Ashok Kumar and Saeed Jaffrey. The daughter of Ashok Kumar, Bharti Ganguly, is the stepmother of her mother, Genevieve Advani. She also starred in Abbas Mustan’s thriller movie Machine (2017) which failed at the box office.
